What is Sustainability?
A Marketplace of Ideas
Tuesday, September
11, 2007
6:30 - 9:00 pm
Monona Community Center
1011 Nichols Road
Monona, WI 53716
Come learn how each of us and all of us can make Monona
a more sustainable
community.
Representatives and displays from a variety of organizations working to help promote sustainable practices will be on hand in the “Marketplace.” Experts from the Dane County Buy Local Initiative, Aldo Leopold Nature Center, the Monona Public Library, Sustain Dane, Focus on Energy, The Natural Step Monona and the Madison Area Municipal Storm Water Partnership will answer your questions about living in a sustainable fashion.
From 7:00 until 8:00 a series of speakers will give an overview of The Natural Step framework and answer “What is Sustainability?” After the presentations, the “Marketplace” will remain open until 9:00. The event is free and open to the public.
Please join us. Be part of creating a Monona that not only survives in the future, but thrives in the future!
